Strength in Numbers

One-half mile of trucks is impressive,
but what you don't see in our introductory photograph is even more
impressive - the hard working people who run these trucks and heavy
equipment.
Our first resource, of which we are genuinely
proud, is our staff; all are motivated by a desire to achieve excellence
in the form of service and superior workmanship.
Our crews at Richard F. Kline, Inc. have
the experience to meet the most rigid specifications. Combined with
our state-of-the-art equipment, we are able to offer the most modern
technology available. |

Throughout Maryland, into Virginia,
Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Washington D.C., our four divisions
are busy working on a multitude of projects.
The founder of this company, Richard F. Kline,
believed that "nothing is more important than bringing in a
job on time and within budget."
Over the years our philosophy has remained the
same. The only thing that has changed is our continuing expansion,
enabling us to serve a wider region with greater capabilities. |
Richard F. Kline established the
company in 1941 hauling grain alcohol and gasoline from Curtis Bay,
Maryland to munitions plants in New Jersey and Delaware. During
World War II these efforts provided vital commodities for the production
of smokeless gunpowder for our armed forces.
After the war, Richard F. Kline recognized the
importance of our nation's infrastructure and saw a new direction
for this company. In 1947, the first highway construction job was
completed and in 1955 he purchased his first asphalt plant, in Frederick,
Maryland. His vision was the beginning of our diversification and
leadership in the production and application of asphalt materials.

and project management - the culmination of talents from our experienced
staff in four divisions. Our work for public agencies and in the
private sector has earned us praise and awards. Richard F. Kline,
Inc. continues to be a family-owned business that takes personal
pride in the satisfaction of its customers. The wide variety of
our capabilities and our commitment to you is our hallmark. We hope
this philosophy comes shining through.
